In the graph the population densities for 10 cities are shown. Tokyo's population density is the second lowest out of the 10 with less than 5000 people living in every kilometer. Although this may look small on the graph this is actually quite a substantial number.
Growth Rate
The graph shows the growth rate of Japanese cities. Tokyo is growing faster than it should be with it's already huge population. Tokyo is estimated to have about 10% of Japan's population while having 0.6% of the land.
Population Spread
The map shows the population spread of the area around Tokyo. The coast is heavily populated and the north of the city is lightly populated. There are not many people living inland. The areas surrounding Tokyo are very dark meaning that it is very populated.
